In Greece, a driving license (Adeia odgeses) is an essential management right of every motorized vehicle, bike and scooter. A license may be obtained after taking driving lessons at a driving school and passing both theory and road tests administered by Greek authorities.

Foreign drivers wishing to convert to Greek driving licenses must submit an application with supporting documents to the Transport and Communications Department in their area, along with photocopies of valid foreign driver’s licenses as well as copies of national ID card (if they are Greek nationals) and passport ( if non Greek).

Due to this investigation, authorities have successfully dismantled a network of forgers from Pakistan who operated four establishments across Athens and Kos, selling fake passports and travel documents to migrants.
